Come and experience Riverfire without the crowds! Featuring live bands, student artworks, great food, dancing, fireworks and auctions, you will be thoroughly entertained on Saturday 28 September at the Rooftop Revel.
The Rooftop Revel is the P&C Association’s Annual Fundraiser. Each year we define a target project based on Extra-Curricular Activities for our fundraising efforts to support. Generally the project falls outside existing funding opportunities and requires an injection of ‘outside’ financial support to get it kick started. This year is no different.
For 2019, we are very excited to support a permanent HOME for Netball and Tennis at the Fursden Road Sporting Complex. Our goal is to fund the design and engineering phase for 6 new Multipurpose Courts.
The creation of these courts will enhance the existing netball and tennis programs, promote greater use of the Fursden Road site by a larger cohort of students and support local clubs and sporting groups with the opportunity to rent much needed quality court space into the local community. We are pleased to announce our 2019 Rooftop Revel keynote speaker, Ms Minnie Yorke. Ms Yorke was the wife of legendary music journalist, author and historian Mr Ritchie Yorke (deceased). Some of the Ritchie Yorke Project archives will be on display at the Revel. These pieces will never be sold or be on public display; this is one of the very few opportunities for you to view some amazing pieces of rock and roll history and hear the behind the scenes story to key music events.
The Rooftop Revel is held on the Kurilpa Roof Terrace (I Block), Merivale Street Campus. This event is for people who are aged 18 and over. Early bird tickets ($65) are available now via State High Connect. See you there!
